Hello. I am having trouble with my site as far as images are concerned. On my MAC they look fantastic. On my PC they look terrible and grainy. I adjusted all the images to a ratio size of 800×600 to conserve space and downloading time. What am I doing wrong? Some of the pictures, when inserted on the text bit, look fine. It’s the gallery that they look horrible. Thanks for your help!

Hi Jolene,
Is this a NextGen Gallery question? That would be the best place to ask the question, or in Alex Rabe’s forum.
In any event, if there is any scaling going on at all, the image quality will suffer, not matter what machine you view them on. When viewed in the gallery, they aren’t full size, so there is some scaling that will affect image quality. When the viewer clicks on the image, it will look better. One thing you can do is crank up the thumbnail size in the NextGen options. That might help.
If you saying that the same page viewed on a Mac looks good but viewed on a PC looks bad, I don’t know what to say there. Sorry.
Hope this helps.
