My WordPress Plugin Review Criteria
In addition to evaluating themes for WordPress, I’ve also been evaluating plugins. Plugins allow you to modify the behavior of your site in interesting ways. Some examples include checking for spam comments, displaying categories in a “cloud”, allowing users to email a post, etc. I will attempt to catalog my observations in posts with the WordPress Plugins category.
There isn’t quite as much to evaluate with a plugin as there is with a theme, so there won’t be as much standardization in my reports, but I will do my best to make them informative and useful.
I’m using IE7 on Windows Vista. I may have tested on Windows XP using IE7, but it is unlikely that I will have tried any other browser. Sorry.
The grade is my subjective evaluation. In order for a plugin to get an A, it has to be one that I want to use regularly.
